Thank you for your patience over the last week as we managed the impacts of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred and subsequent severe weather. We know many of you were personally impacted and we are grateful for your understanding as we continued to prioritise the health and safety of our staff and clients during these challenging times.

Our teams are continuing to monitor Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred. We are working hard to ensure the safety of our staff, clients and residents. Whilst some staff members have been impacted by flooding, we have contingency plans in place to ensure we continue to deliver quality care throughout all of our services. Weather conditions are improving in most areas, and we are beginning to resume regular services. However, some services in West Moreton remain impacted. Affected clients have been contacted, but if you have any questions, our Call Centre is open until 7pm tonight—please call us at 1300 610 610.

Anglicare Kirami Update: Due to this morning’s weather, we experienced power outage, but our generator is running smoothly , ensuring continued care for all residents. We are following our emergency management plans. All residents are safe and well.

Abri Home update March 7th at 3pm
Our Abri Home lost power overnight and there is a fallen tree nearby with no impact to the service. We continued to operate in line with our emergency management plan, with generators providing immediate power overnight until power was returned early this morning. Whilst we expect the weather to intensify today, our team is well prepared and well resourced to provide continuity of care. We are doing everything we can to ensure your loved one remains safe. Essential services can vary depending on individual circumstances. All impacted clients have been contacted and arrangements have been made based on individual client needs.
Residential Aged Care
All of our Residential Aged Care homes remain open and operational in line with our emergency management plans. We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of residents and staff. We ask you to consider your own safety should you wish to visit your loved one, and follow the advice of Government at all times.

Our Children, Youth and Families services are operating in line with our emergency management plans. The safety and wellbeing of our staff, clients and young people in our care remain our highest priority and we are doing everything we can to ensure they remain safe and well at all times.
Wednesday, 05 March, 12:00pm
In response to Tropical Cyclone Alfred, we have stood up our Emergency Management Team with experts from across the business, to ensure we are appropriately prepared to manage any impacts of the cyclone.
The safety of our clients and employees is our utmost priority. As such, as of Thursday 6 March we will be delivering essential services only, across our Home and Community, Social and Community Services and Out of Home Care services, whilst it is safe to do so. We are continuing to assess the situation and will advise clients if alternative arrangements will be made for essential services.
All impacted clients have been contacted and arrangements have been made based on individual client needs. However, our contact centre is available for clients to call on 1300 610 610 for more information.
Our Residential Aged Care Services will continue to operate in line with our emergency and disaster management plans. All homes remain open, however we ask you to consider you own safety if choosing to visit your loved ones, and always follow the safety directions from the Government.
