Our strategic property projects aim to cater for the needs of our ageing population, while continually enhancing our existing facilities to provide a caring, comfortable and dignified experience for our residents.
Meilene Residential Aged Care Bundaberg
The Meilene redevelopment and refurbishment will deliver a much-needed boost to aged care in Bundaberg, adding 36 new rooms and more employment opportunities for nursing and care staff.
The home, located at Kalkie, will expand from 52 to 88 rooms.
Construction is underway and due for completion 3Q/4Q 2022.
Hutchinson Builders is our construction partner for the project. Hutchinson has significant experience in the construction of aged care homes, retirement villages and hospitals, and is tailoring its works schedule to minimise the impact on residents, visitors and staff where possible.
Buckland Road Nundah
230 Buckland Road, Nundah was previously the site of our Brisbane North Community Aged Care service and the Tufnell House children’s home.
The existing buildings on the property were no longer fit for purpose and the site was cleared in late 2020.
We plan to renew our aged care presence in the local community by establishing a new Residential Aged Care home at Buckland Road.
The Village Manly
A new retirement village next to the heritage-listed Lota House at Manly will provide more independent living options for older people in Brisbane’s bayside community.
The new village will be co-located with the E.M. Tooth Residential Aged Care home, allowing people to transition from retirement living to an aged care setting as their care needs change over time, without having to leave the community they know and love.
We are partnering with award-winning retirement living specialists Village Retirement Group on the project.
Construction is expected to start in late 2021.
The Village Taigum
The Village Taigum is state-of-the-art development in Brisbane’s northern suburbs featuring a series of modern three-bedroom single level villas.
The village is conveniently located close to shopping centres, clubs, services, medical centres, health specialists, community groups and churches. Residents can also easily access Anglicare nursing, home care, personal care and other services.
We are working closely with The Village Retirement Group, to provide quality accommodation and facilities, coupled with a wonderful lifestyle and sense of community.
