Program Details
Immediate Housing Response provides short-term, temporary accommodation for eligible clients. This may include self-contained motel/hotel-style accommodation. We aim to provide pro-active support services to facilitate transition into safe and secure housing through the private rental market, or the social housing system.

Young people (16-25) in the Brisbane and Logan area
We support singles and couples who are experiencing, or at imminent risk of experiencing, homelessness in the Brisbane and Logan area.
Adults (18+) in the Brisbane area
We support singles and couples in the Brisbane area who are experiencing, or at imminent risk of experiencing, homelessness in the Brisbane area.

What will be required of me to access this program?
To access the Immediate Housing Response program, you will need to comply with a certain set of requirements. Some of these include:
- Engaging with our team within five business days of starting this program to commence planning for longer-term housing and accommodation
- Providing a form of identification to access accommodation
- Complying with the terms and conditions of the hotel/motel provider
- Demonstrating you’ve lodged an application for social housing within seven days of being accepted into this program
- Advising our team of any changes to your circumstances.
Will I be required to pay anything?
When accessing the Immediate Housing Response program, you’ll be required to pay a contribution towards your accommodation after five days in the program, direct to the hotel/motel and from a base of up to 25% of your gross assessable household income, unless certain circumstances apply.
