New youth housing

Anglicare has committed to a $14 million Youth Homelessness Accommodation project in Beenleigh. This important project will offer secure, quality accommodation and wrap-around support for young people aged 16-25 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Prioritising quality housing for young people

The project has been shaped by what the young people who use Anglicare’s services have told us they need: privacy, independence and adults who champion them.

  • A 30-unit urban model with up to 42 beds located in Beenleigh
  • Studio apartments for singles and couples and one-bedroom apartments for young families – all for young people 16 to 25 years of age, including disability access
  • 24/7 on-site support and concierge staff
  • Quality self-contained apartments – simple yet welcoming, equipped with essential furniture and appliances
  • Office space for support service visits, including health and employment services

Construction has now commenced, creating jobs and an economic boost for the area, and is expected to be completed in mid-2026
