Supporting Anglicare Southern Queensland clients

Christmas is a time for giving and sharing joy with loved ones. It’s a time for giving, a time for reflection and a time for hope. ​​

Across our services, we have many clients who won’t have friends or family to spend the festive season with. Clients, who will struggle to provide their children with a Christmas meal, let alone presents or activities these holidays.​

You can help make this Christmas bright for someone in need. By donating a gift, you are letting them know they’re not alone.

We are currently seeking donations of gifts for clients in the Greater Brisbane region. If you would like to make a donation and you reside outside of Brisbane, please email [email protected].​

Donations of any of the following gifts will bring much joy to our residents and are greatly appreciated:

  • Board games and puzzles 
  • Puzzle books, such as find-a-word or Sudoku
  • Perfume/Cologne

  • Handkerchiefs
  • Diary
  • Photo frames
  • Hand creams
  • Boxed/wrapped chocolates

Donations of any of the following gifts will bring  joy to our clients, and are greatly appreciated:

  • Hampers of non-perishable food items * (such as shortbread, Christmas cake, pudding, pavlova)
  • Hampers of hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, soap)
  • Cat/dog food
  • Board games and puzzles 
  • Home fragrances, Candles or Oil diffuses
  • Books – fiction/non-fiction, Word find or Sudoku books etc
  • Perfume/Cologne
  • Calendar
  • Handkerchiefs
  • Hand creams
  • Boxed/wrapped chocolates

Woman or young person experiencing homelessness

Donations of the any of following gifts will bring hope and joy to our clients and are greatly appreciated:

  • Vouchers for Target, Big W,  Myer, Woolworths, and Coles
  • Vouchers for clothes stores
  • Hampers of non-perishable food items *
  • Home starter packs for youth and families moving into their own accommodation:
    • Cleaning packs: can include washing powder, toilet cleaner, toilet brush, dustpan and brush/broom, pegs, toilet rolls, tea towels, multi surface cleaner,window cleaner, cleaning sponges/clothes or,  Dishwashing liquid
    • Home essentials pack: can include crockery sets – dinner plate, side plate & bowl, tea/coffee mugs, cutlery sets, bed sheet sets – single and queen sizes, quilt cover sets, quilts, bath towels, hand towels, bathmats

  • Unwrapped, or wrapped in clear cellophane so contents are visible
