Supported by Anglicare Southern Queensland, You Be You is a service that finds and supports foster carers in Caboolture. We’re by your side every step of the way
Becoming a foster carer is a life-changing decision. If you’re ready to embark on the foster care journey, you’ll have the guidance and support of a Foster Care Case Practitioner throughout the whole process – from your application through to training, assessing, finding the right child for your family, and beyond. No matter what challenges or joys you face, our Brisbane team will be there for you and the child in your care with empathy, creativity, dedication and courage.
Foster Care Brisbane North: attend one of our information sessions
If you’re interested in becoming a foster or kinship carer, you can attend an information session in Caboolture and Brisbane’s northside. These sessions will help you learn from our experienced intake team about the process and benefits of being a foster parent, and address any questions you may have.
We understand the importance of cultural identity
We respect the cultural identity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their right to stay connected to their community.
When it isn’t possible to maintain a connection with the child’s family and community, our Brisbane-based cultural support workers help non-indigenous foster carers and staff to learn about the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander foster children in care, supporting them in a holistic way that values their family, spiritual, community and personal needs. The team also empowers young people to develop a strong sense of identity through activities that celebrate their culture.
