Common questions
Here are the most frequently asked questions we receive about our women’s homelessness programs.
What do I do if I have no place to stay?
If you have nowhere safe to stay, call the Queensland Homeless Hotline on 1800 474 753 for 24/7 advice and referrals to crisis accommodation. You can also contact Anglicare on 1300 114 397 during business hours to discuss women’s homelessness programs and immediate housing response options. If you’re in danger or experiencing violence, call 000 before anything else so you can be kept safe.
How do I get emergency housing in QLD?
Emergency housing in Queensland usually starts with a call to the Homeless Hotline (1800 474 753), which can connect you with crisis accommodation, outreach services and local providers. Anglicare’s women’s homelessness services and Immediate Housing Response program offer short-term accommodation and case management to help you move toward longer-term housing. Staff can also link you with legal, health and family support if needed.
