Caring homes, brighter futures.
We understand the importance of stability and care for children and young people during challenging times. The Residential Care program provides a secure space where they can feel safe, valued, and supported while working toward a positive future.

Common questions
Here are the most frequently asked questions we receive about our Residential Care program.
What is residential care?
Residential care provides safe, transitional living arrangements for children and young people who cannot live at home, offering stability and support during uncertain times.
Is there a cost for this program?
No, our Residential Care program is free for eligible children and young people.
How long can young people stay in residential care?
The length of stay depends on the young person’s individual circumstances and the time needed to transition to family, foster care, or independent living.
Are younger children ever placed in residential care?
Yes, under certain conditions, such as when it benefits a sibling group or aligns with specific approved service models.
What Is A Youth Worker?
Our residential care services provide homes with trained, rostered staff (called youth workers) who are responsible for the care and wellbeing of children and young people. They are mentors who aim to create as much consistency in the lives of young people so they can turn to them in times of need. Youth workers aim to create home-like environments for our children and young people to provide them with a sense of normalcy and stability during often challenging and unsteady times.
