Staying on Track

Our Staying on Track program provides mentorship and support to young people and their families. The program is designed to support youth to transition safely back into the community after detention.

Paving the way for brighter futures, together.

We are committed to working with young people to make better, more sustainable choices so they can reintegrate into their communities safely.

The purpose of Staying On Track is to improve community safety and reduce reoffending by bridging the transition to community when young people are released from detention, including 12-months of support, with at least 6-months of intensive supervision.

Program details

Staying on Track supports young people and their families, kin, or caregivers to aid in their transition back into the community following youth detention. In collaboration with the Department of Youth Justice, we will work with young people to set goals and reduce their risk of re-offending.

Through this program we will help young people:

  • Engage in pro-social activities like education, employment and traineeships
  • Case management and formal mentoring
  • Work collaboratively with the Department of Youth Justice and other agencies
  • To improve relationships with their families and communities
  • To improve other aspects of their spiritual, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

**This program is funded by the Queensland Government Department of Youth Justice.

Program benefits
