Share a cuppa. Change a life.
Every cup of tea poured at a Tea for Tomorrow event helps build safe accommodation and a brighter tomorrow for young Queenslanders experiencing homelessness.
By hosting a high tea with family, friends, colleagues, or your wider community, you’ll be raising vital funds to support Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Youth Homelessness Accommodation Project—a $14 million purpose-built facility in Logan (Beenleigh) designed to provide safety, dignity, and opportunity for young people aged 16–25.
Why host a Tea for Tomorrow?
Shared mission
Together, we can take meaningful action in response to the youth homelessness crisis, turning compassion into lasting change.
Fostering fellowship
High tea is the perfect setting to bring people together. Guests share stories, laughter, and generosity over cups of tea and plates of delicious treats.
Engage and inspire
Hosting encourages active participation and strengthens community spirit. A high tea not only raises funds but also inspires ongoing generosity and connection.
Your cup of tea creates change
Every dollar raised helps Anglicare provide young people with safe housing, 24/7 on-site care, and wrap-around services including counselling, education, employment pathways, and life-skills mentoring.
How it works
Hosting a Tea for Tomorrow is simple, fun, and rewarding:
Step 1
Plan your event: Choose a date, time, and location that works for you.
Step 2
Invite your guests: Use our editable invitations and posters to spread the word.
Step 3
Set the table: Bake or buy some sweet and savoury favourites, decorate with our bunting templates, and make it your own.
Step 4
Fundraise with purpose: Encourage donations through forms or QR codes, run raffles, or add fun activities like “guess the tea bags in the jar.”
Step 5
Make it memorable: Share stories, use our Table Talkers, and celebrate the impact your generosity creates.
We’ve made it easy with a Host Kit full of resources, from posters and invitations to conversation cards and simple fundraising tips.
The impact
Every night, thousands of young Queenslanders are without a safe place to call home. Almost a quarter of people experiencing homelessness in Australia are aged just 12–24.
Your Tea for Tomorrow will directly support Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Youth Homelessness Accommodation Project, providing:
- 30 modern units designed for dignity and safety
- 24/7 on-site support from caring professionals
- Wrap-around services including counselling, education, employment pathways, and life-skills mentoring
