How we communicate and provide resources

Areas for improvement and issues of concern

How can you participate?

We invite members to participate in around 2 tasks per year, they may be online or in person meetings, surveys, or one on one discussions.

We understand that you may not be able to participate in some activities. There is no obligation to take part in a certain number.’

Members will join the Consumer Advisory Body for one year with the possibility of extension.

How is the feedback used?

The purpose of the advisory bodies is to provide Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Board and Executive Leadership Team feedback about the organisation’s quality of care for each of its services.

Where a consumer advisory body is established, Anglicare Southern Queensland will:

1. consider the advisory body’s feedback when making decisions about the quality of care and services

2. write to the advisory body about how its feedback was considered.

Who can join?

Every 12 months, we will write to all care recipients and their representatives to seek interest in participating in a consumer advisory body. The advisory body is made up of current aged care consumers in residential or home and community care, and the carers or close family members of those receiving our services.

We welcome an inclusive Consumer Advisory Body, including people who live with dementia or disability, as well as First Nations people; people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; and lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans/transgender, intersex, queer and other sexuality, gender, and bodily diverse people.
