Some aspects of our dementia care include:
- Participation in life-enriching activities
- Dementia-friendly living environment
- Plenty of natural light and access to the outdoors
- Exercise programs
- 24-hour registered nurses and access to specialists and geriatricians.

Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP)
Available in selected homes, the Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP) provides a high level of tailored care for people living with dementia who are exhibiting severe behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), and unable to be effectively cared for by mainstream aged care services.
If your loved one is living with dementia and experiencing severe behavioural symptoms that cannot be managed in a standard aged care setting, the SDCP offers specialised care in a safe, structured environment.
Delivered in small, dementia-friendly residential units, the program provides personalised support to stabilise symptoms and enhance quality of life. The goal is to help residents manage their symptoms so they can transition to mainstream aged care when ready.
Our SDCP units are designed to:
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care in a secure, home-like environment
- Reduce or stabilise severe dementia symptoms within approximately 12 months
- Support residents in transitioning to mainstream aged care when ready
- Enhance wellbeing by fostering independence, familiarity, and meaningful engagement
- Work closely with Dementia Support Australia, allied health professionals, and state health networks.
