Seed Grants Program
The Seed Grants Program links Anglicare staff members with academics who are keen to work together as co-researchers and help to bring the original research ideas of our staff to life.
The Program aims to nurture innovative applied research projects that can be implemented or piloted within Anglicare to benefit our clients and/or staff. Successful projects have the potential to be scaled up or transferable to other areas of our organisation, or benefit the sector more broadly.
Successful projects (Round 1)
- The Anglicare ‘Homeshare‘ project. This project explores opportunities and challenges of co-housing in southeast Queensland, and developing a model for piloting (with the University of Sunshine Coast)
- Compassion training, which is an innovative approach to supporting staff with emotional wellbeing and dealing with stress (with the University of Queensland)
Successful projects (Round 2)
- Piloting participatory record-keeping for children in out-of-home care (OOHC), enabling an alternate, trauma-informed approach to care documentation in a way that also provides children in OOHC the opportunity for recovery, healing, and healthy identify formation (with Monash University and the University of South Australia).
- Assessing climate change vulnerability and exploring adaptation strategies for residents in Anglicare’s residential aged care homes, incorporating climate resilience and care practice in preparation for future social/ environmental challenges (with Griffith University)
More information will be available as the projects progress.
Seed Grant Program rounds open in October to November each year.
