Christopher – Family Intervention Support Worker
We believe that families should be given the tools they need to stay together and thrive. As a Family Intervention Support Worker, Christopher provides an in-home intensive intervention and support service to families where child protection issues have been identified. Christopher’s role bridges the gap with early intervention and child protection so that children can remain safely in the family home.

As a Senior Youth Worker, Meli goes above and beyond to ensure that the young people he works with can succeed. Meli works directly with young people to empower them to be better versions of themselves, providing practical and emotional support to help them build life skills, set goals and make good choices.

It’s a big step to provide children and young people with a safe and secure home, but Judith is there every step of the way to recruit, train and support our foster and kinship carers. Judith is dedicated to making sure that children are given the best shot at life by training and recruiting quality foster and kinship carers, making sure their homes are safe and supporting carers to help children meet their goals.

Shum empowers independence every day by helping people remain in their homes. Home Care Workers like Shum play a key role in ensuring our clients are able to maintain their lifestyle and wellbeing as they age. No two days look the same for Shum, who supports clients with everything from personal grooming and hygiene to shopping, groceries and social visits.

Amber and Jackie are Fitness Instructors in our Community Aged Care team. They play an important role, developing and facilitating a variety of wellness programs. Amber and Jackie tailor activities to suit client needs, ensuring that everyone can participate to the best of their abilities and are able to maintain good health and independence through strength and exercise.

We believe everyone deserves to live with dignity and hope, and Jairus makes sure this happens. Jairus supports our aged care clients in their own home, providing vital domestic support to allow them to maintain independence and comfort. Jairus works with the clients to ensure their fridges and pantries are fully stocked, their homes are clean and comfortable, and they have healthy and delicious meals ready to go.

We work hard to ensure that senior members of our community can retain their independence as they age. As a Home Care Worker, Sharon provides a range of personal care and assistance services including daily activities such as hygiene, dressing and grooming, shopping, respite and domestic assistance. This supports clients to remain living independently and comfortably in their own homes.

Responding to the medical needs of our clients with clinical excellence and care is our number one priority. As a Registered Nurse, Sue provides comprehensive assessments for clients and works closely with clients and care teams to implement care plans. Sue works closely with a broad range of colleagues and other community service providers to ensure that our clients are supported to age gracefully with the care they need for their unique circumstances.

Kalolaine brings her smile and energy every single day to St John’s Residential Aged Care home. In charge of providing diversional and recreational activities, Kalolaine’s role as a Diversional Therapist ensures that our residents maintain a high level of physical and cognitive function. Through a range of tailored activities and one to one work, she ensures that the psychological, social, physical and spiritual wellbeing of residents is met.

Counsellors like Kate work with families of all forms and sizes to strengthen family relationships, prevent relationship breakdown and ensure the wellbeing and safety of children. Kate’s focus is on intervening early to prevent family breakdown at critical points, such as when families come together or separate. Kate works closely with children, giving them the tools they need to better manage life’s transitions and ensuring that they are protected and given the opportunity to contribute to building a stronger and more resilient family unit.
