Anglicare Southern Queensland is raising one million dollars to help fight one of the biggest social issues affecting Queensland, domestic violence.

DONATE NOW

Domestic violence is everywhere.

It’s hard to avoid the prevalence of domestic violence – every time we turn on the news there is another tragic story. For many survivors, especially women, home is the most dangerous place as they are subjected to acts of physical, sexual, emotional, financial and psychological abuse. Domestic and family violence is one of the most common reasons people become homeless, as women and children flee their homes, and crisis accommodation services struggle to find capacity. Exposure to trauma can also lead to life-long emotional, psychological and physical health impacts, especially for children. But we can all make a difference and work to create change.

How can you help?

Our goal is to raise one million dollars to support the teams at Anglicare who work with survivors of domestic violence every day. A million dollars will make a difference to so many people.

We encourage all Queenslanders who want to help us make a difference to donate now.
